About us

Network South Yorkshire is a wholly owned subsidiary of the SYT Group, which shares Network SY's head office at 1 Shude Hill, Sheffield City Centre, South Yorkshire. SYT is owned by two ex-AWJ South Yorkshire directors and the proprietors of a few local bus and coach companies, Blue & Cream, JOC Motor Services (previously the Buxton & Bakewell Joint Omnibus Corporation) and Buxton & District Motor Services.

As you can see in the History section their is a lot of history behind Network South Yorkshire. So much we couldn't fit it on the page given! However, at the present, Network South Yorkshire's aim is to provide excellent service and to modernise the elderly fleet given to us by AWJ South Yorkshire.

The Managing Director of the Network South Yorkshire fleet is David Cox. Currently he has the difficult job of transforming the business. It is his sole responsibility to spend the money given to him to improve the travel exprerience of the people of South Yorkshire. Currently he is creating the 'Hallamshire Link' and Sheffield Transport Plan concepts. Which together would transform public transport in Sheffield and thus transform the fortunes of Network South Yorkshire.
